including URLs

hello everyone!

i've just installed PHP4 under windows2000
and tried to include an URL:

but php tells me:

Warning: Failed opening 'http://www.gmx.net' for inclusion (include_path='') in c:\programme\webserver\tomcat\webapps\igs\index.php on line 34

dont know whats the mistake cos on my linux-
machine it works perfect. my include-path
in the php.ini-file is empty (as it is on
my linux-computer). any ideas (or better:
solutions? :-)

Whilst I'm am not including remote files, I too am getting the same problem since I installed php triad on my windows 2000 systems.
I'm getting a similar include error message, except that the include files are in the same directory as the file that is including them.

This problem didnt occur when I installed apache/php and mysql manually. It only occurred after my hard disk crashed and i installed php triad.

I'm just wondering if anyone with php triad also has this problem.

I'm not sure, but I've this idea that the include path in php.ini might need modification to correct this problem.
It's just a hunch.

that include (url) doesnt work on windows-
servers.

I've just fixed this - it's the php.ini file
I couldn't get PHP Nuke to run locally.

Here's my include_path Note the last bit \apache\htdocs\php-nuke\html - this is where I installed php-nuke.

include_path = "\apache\includes;\apache\htdocs\;\apache\htdocs\phpmyadmin;\apache\htdocs;\apache\htdocs\php-nuke\html"
