Simple ? -- Text from MYSQL

hi all,

This is probably really obvious, but there you go.

I want to display text from a MYSQL text field in the alt text field of an image.

However the text is cut off after the first white space, I've tried several functions etc.. but to no avail -- any ideas ?

The text disiplays fine if echoed to the browser.

Are you putting quotes around the text? I.e.

echo "<img ... alt=\"$var\">
