https problems

This is weird...I am working on a friends site on an https server...if I refer to the site (in the browser URL bar) by http://www.domain.com/page.php3 it works fine. But, if I refer to it as https://www.domain.com/page.php3 it will: 1. Shows up in IE5, but throws a 405 on submit 2. Outputs the entire script as plain text (oops...database passwords, anyone?) with Netscape 4.7 Win or Lin, and 3. Konqueror doesn't even see it as a valid page... This isn't my server, but the admin doesn't believe the problem is server side (?!?!!). Any ideas?

what web server u are using(Apache)?
have u map the ssl document root to ur www?
since ssl document rootis difference from the normal document (default : htdocs).
as i konw, ssl define as a virtualhost in apache.

but i'm not sure, correct me if i'm wrong.

That seems like it may be the problem...Like I said, it's not my server, and the admin is either reluctant to help or has no idea what the problem is (it became a 'no one else has complained therefore your complaint is invalid' type thing. I believe he's running apache, though; I will see if I can't get into his httpd.conf and verify it is set up OK
