parsing techniques

hi all!!!

I am quite naive about parsing except for some theoritcal knowledge i got while doing formal language and automata theory course.
i understanfd there are lots of parsing techinques and is important for my php code that im going o start with and by the way im new to php world too.

so i wonder if anybody can suggest me some place where i can start with learning these parsing techiques.
