Switching from ASP to PHP

Hi all,

I have a little dilema, I am the admin/developer for a site in ASP, basically I took this project over from a company that was not getting things done.

The entire site is in ASP, very sloppy ASP, with no documentation, and has many bugs.

What I was thinking is redoing the entire site in PHP, it is a fairly advanced project, but I don't, I just can't stand ASP anymore, it's just not a serious language to program in.

What are you thoughts on this? Recommendation? Anybody had to do this before?

If you're gonna rewrite it, do it right, with a good plan, and lots of user input on the things that currently don't work etc...
