Using Z39.50 with PHP

Hi,

I am having to do project which uses Z39.50 to send/retrieve data from a client HTML browser to a serverside database.

The HTML must be created as independent static HTML pages, and hence cannot be parsed/generated by another language.

Can PHP still be used to accomplish this task?

Can anyone recommend the best way to accomplish this?

You can use PHP to make the static html pages from you database. update them daily or upon a change, etc. Either write everything to a variable, and then save the variable as a file, or look into the ob_start() function, there is an example on it's manual page on how to use it to create static html pages dynamically.
