What do the following values for the type parameter in checkdnsrr stand for:
A, MX, NS, SOA, PTR, CNAME, ANY
They are the same as the DNS records:
A == Address (IP Adderss) MX == MX record (mail exchange) NS == Name server records. SOA == Start Of Authority (info about a domain) PTR == A IP -> Name mapping CNAME == An alias to the machine name. ANY == Any records.
