my mail() isnt working, yes its been posted about a bunch of times. it has always been posted to change SMTP and sendmail_from in php.ini. But what to? do I have to have an email server? or can I just say its from my hotmail account. (carlosgaguilar@hotmail.com) if so what should I change these settings to. any help would be apreciated. -carlos aguilar

You HAVE to have a mail server running on the same server where PHP currently is running. Either sendmail or postfix is fine. As long as the email is sent. 🙂
