General question regarding printing.

I'm hoping someone can help me out with a few printing questions. They're not actually PHP related but I figure this might be a good place to get my questions answered.

I'm using PHP to create dynamic reports based on entries into my database, and I would like to be able to print them. So my questions are:

1/ Does anyone have a preferred method of making sure that the form prints out on a single page?

2/ Does anyone know how to make the form print from IE (or netscape, etc.) without the silly URL header & footer inforomation? (so it doesn't look like it was printed off the web)

1) you can use tables to force the page to be a certain size (like 8 inches across) but i haven't found a way to control the page length effectively. what i currently do is to set the width of the table and make sure the content doesn't take up more than 80-90% of the page (to account for font differences & sizes & wacky user settings)

2)In IE go to File then "Page Setup", you should be able to remove the header and footer strings (in version 5+ at least)
