Time change

I am getting $time_from from database (MY-SQL). The data type is time in database.

Now in front end i want to display this time + and add 15 minutes to it.

Eg: - 1. If i am retriveing 2:00 then i want to displat 2:15 , 2:30 , 2:45 .

If i get 3:00 from database then it should display 3:15, 3:30, 3:45...

Actually what ever time i get it should add 15 minutes to it and display .
I have tried mktime() functions..
I don't know where i am getting wrong...
Please help me it's urgent.... How do i do it.

SELECT DATE_ADD(time_from,INTERVAL 15 MINUTE) FROM table;

retrive the time_from column and it'll have the time + 15 minutes.

"select DATE_ADD(time_from , INTERVAL 15 MINUTE) from table_name.

Here its giving me empty records.

I am trying to do in all possible ways but i am not getting where i am going wrong.

Please can anybody test and send the code because its very urgent and important.

Did you try exactly that query, or did you change the column and table name to match what you had? Also, how are you displaying the data?

If you didn't get an error when you tried to fetch the results, then rows were returned, maybe you're not diplaying them correctly...

Yes i tried the same and also did lot of R & D on it.

But still its not commimng.

Let me explain once again.

I tried the data type both Time , datetime in database field .

I want to add 15 minutes from the value what i am getting from database.

Suppose if i am getting 12:00:00 then it sould show me 12:15:00, 12:30:00 , 12:45:00, 01:00:00 and so on..

I am trying it .
Please can u tell me what datatype i should use time or DateTime and if possible can u send me one example also.

I really need this help it very urgent ...

I was thinking the same thing, but upon testing, I found out that the column has to be a TIMESTAMP in order for this to work. It won't work for a TIME or DATETIME column...
