Use the mail function.. by us it is a phone number from mail like this:

$to = "xxxxxx@linux.mobitel.si";
$subject = ""; // leave it blank
$message = "the so called test";
$from = "you@yourmail.foo"; // 😃

mail("$to", "$subject", "$message","From: $from");

I think there are other ways but this is the simplest..

If you don't use email, you have two options:

A) Writing a very nice piece of software to run on your server. As a software engineer friend of mine would say - it's a project that requires proper programming, not this webmonkey stuff.

😎 Buy a product to run on your servers. There are several good ones on the market. Do a search on the web, or go to a show. They are always full of people offering SMS services these days.

You might want to try this...

Turn on the Call-Back feature on Linux, effectivly turning you box into an ISP, make sure you use you Mobile for the connection....

SMS yourself using another mobile, with the linux box listening,make a script that echos all incoming data, de-crypt the signal from the SMS, read the headers (try ROT13 encryption), and you should have enough information to send back SMS messages...without another blood sucking third party.....
