Frames vs. Templates

I found that using frames I can call pages outside my server with Templates I did not find the answer yet.

Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if everyone who asked for help would take the time to put together coherent, literate questions, so the rest of us could help them? But maybe it's wrong to assume that everyone should know perfect English on an international forum like PHPBuilder.com.

I think the question was supposed to have a period after the word server, as in:

That is, he knows how to call outside pages using frames, but he doesn't know how to call outside pages in whatever template he is using.

For an answer, I would have to say that you have to tweak the code. Put the outside address into a variable, if you want to hardwire it. If you want people to be able to add lots of outside of addresses while using a template you've developed, then give them a form where they can add it in.

Now the script myTemplateScript automatically receives a variable named $outsideAddresses. Work that into your template code somehow.

All he needs to do is create some sort of form where users can enter a URL, and pass that on to some script that does something with it..

And he just has to add it in somehow...great stuff.

If Pepe does not speak english well enough to make a "proper" question (and that's perfectly ok, I don't speak his language either) how do you expect him to understand anything at all about your answer?

If you blame me for not understanding his question, you should at least try to make Pepe understand your answer.

I believe my English is good enough to make questions in this great forum, nevertheless I sometimes make quick questions that may be hard to understand, sorry about this, I will try to use better grammar next time I post anything here. (I am Spanish by the way...).

Let´s see If you get the point now:

I am making a site on PHP that gives information about a mountain resort, the oficial site gives very good information on weather conditions and I would like to add HIS page (on a different http) to my site, I am using fopen() to do so, nevertheless I get some bugs like change in font colors and table borders, I seems that using frames in my site to display HIS page would be more practical, what do you guys think?

Aha, see, now I understand your question.
Indeed, if you use frames, "his" page will be displayed properly, and it will not affect your page.

If you really want to do it without frames, you'd have to read "his" page into memory, and change all the font colors and stylesheet information into the information that you use for your own site.

"his" page is updated daily, it makes no sense in storing and modifying anything, I will use frames or see what else can I do.

Ofcourse I meant that you'd open "his" page every time you look at your page, and replace his colors with yours every time.
