user password

hi

I ran into the following problem:
somehow (I really don't know how) the mysql database doesn't want my user passwords any longer - is there a way to erase the passwords and create new ones - mybe deleting the "user" table ??

thanks for your manual advise - I am sorry - I wasn't specific enough - it's not only the users - it's also the root and mysql-user password ...

it's a little more complex than revoke ...

guess it's about time to break out the backups and restore the user table....

just to be sure on this point - erasing the user tables and bringing in the default ones would be fine ?

Not the default ones, the backup-ones.
You do have backups right? evil grin

If not, make a backup of the current user table,
stop mysql, run ther script that makes the default tables (or copy the default table from somewhere) and start mysql.
You will have to add all users and passwords again, but that's life.
