mail delivery program error???

I saw someone else had a similar problem, but I couldn't find any answers.

I have a script that sends email, everything has been working fine for over a month with this so far. However, I had one error yesterday where php reported:

"PHP Warning: Could not execute mail delivery program in .... on line 473"

This has only happened once. It is fine now. But, there were 7 people on that list to be emailed, it failed for all seven, but then it managed to send all 7 of those people the same message 4 times in a row.

Does anyone have any pointers for me as to what this might be? Is it a sendmail problem? The path is correct, and all of the mail scripts seem to be working fine.

This is PHP4 running on Red Hat Linux.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi Jason,

I'm having exactly the same problem you posted here: my mail function has been working fine for months now, and all of a sudden it produces these warnings. I wondered if you found out what's going wrong here ?
I hope you're still on this board since it doesn't look like anyone wanted to answer your question here....
