Inserting Images in mysql database

How Do u insert images in to Mysql database using this front end can somebody help me .
Is there a simple query which i can write where i can design a field for images and then what should the field type be ????(blob , text ????)
If binary how should i spoecify the field type as binary ,
??

I'm interested in doing this too, but don't know too much. I think you'd use a blob. A blob is basically binary string field. So I would think you could use fopen in binary mode and then fread with the size of the file into a variable, and then just store that with a normal insert statement... I haven't tried this though...

give some persuading points for not storing images in a table as opposed to the file name instead after storing the file in a normal directory.

But if you'd still like to do it, they give some good pointers on how to do so.
