Image file name with % or ' or "

does anyone can help me, because i have a problem that our user upload an image with file name with a character %, ', " or white space charachter or any character that can our script can't open it !
example : (this is some of the warning message that happened because of the ' character)
Warning: Unable to open var/www/php/images/pics/adam_914nt-it's me.jpg in var/www/php/profile/profile_detail.php on line 216

if users upload pictures via a web form then you can rename such files before writing them to disk.

if they put them without your control... hmmm... do you have ' around your filename? paste those lines from 210-225 and we will find the solution 🙂

so, is there any solution for me ? because we already have any file name with that character (', ", %) ??? maybe using PHP function ?

nb : can i use urlencode or any function ?
