Hello everyone,

I'm including 4 different files into one php page.

If one or more includes don't work, I don't want the page to be displayed, and have an error displayed.

All includes must work for the page to be displayed.

I used an if statement, but it doesn't work.

Can someone help me.

I need to use includes to save disk space. I include the same files into each page, and then use some extra html to make each page different.

Well, you could have each include-file create a global variable named after itself that is true, and then test all of them afterwards:

include('one.php');
...
include('x.php');

if ($one_included ..... && $x_included)
    {
    // Everything is included, go ahead and display it
    }
else
    {
    // there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth
    }

But why bother? Aren't you creating the include-files? Don't you know if they are there ahead of time?

Use the filesystem:

if(file_exists("/path/to/include_file.php"))
{

the file exists, so I can include it

include ("/path/to/include_file.php");
}
else
{

The file does not exist!

echo "File not found.";
};

Not sure if I get your question.

1. Is there some sort of a logic inside each file that needs to be executed and you wish to ensure that this has executed?

2. Is it that u just wish to confirm that the files exist on your disk?

For 1, I cannot help without more specific info, but if your problem is 2, then you could try the following:

$file1 = "some/path/include1.inc";
$file2 = "some/path/include2.inc";

if ( file_exists($file1) &&
file_exists($file2)
)
{
// Include them
include_once($file1);
include_once($file2);
}
else
{
// Do not include
}
