Number formatting -Help please

Ok ive been on this for 2 Days now-sorry Im a Moran, its probaly very simple.

Ok here goes:

$acpreis = $myrow["Price"];
$acmenge=$myrow["Amount"];
$acgesamtpreis=($acpreis * $acmenge);
$acgesamtpreis=number_format$acgesamtpreis,2);
echo"$acgesamtpreis";

Ok acpreis is 199,95 and acmenge is 2 so i want 199,95*2 =399,90 as the result but i only get 398,00 as result.
Is number_format the wrong way to go?

First off Moran is spelt morron 😛 unless Moran means something else but I've never heard/seen that word.

try using the round function ex:

$result = round($var, 2) where 2 is the precision.
