Hello,
I've heard there are characters than can be used other than the '?' , '=' and the '&' for when you send variables to a php page. So instead of doing it like:
page.php?user=joe&showsearch=no
you can do something like
page.php/user=joe&showsearch=no
or even
page.php/user/joe/showsearch/no
?????
I heard about this possibility but never any solutions or if it worked.
What other characters can be used when sending vars to php pages other than ? = & <end of question>
Apparently, scuttlebutt says that search engines (Alta Vista, for one) ignores everything after a ? mark, and that some engines might begin to avoid extensions like php and phtml all together. Doubt that'll happen any time soon or before a new fad technology comes out, though.
