Web Site Search Engine

I previously used Index Server as the primary search engine on an ASP/IIS/Win2K system. We are now switching over to PHP/Apache/Linux configuration for web hosting.

First and foremost, I like to knwo what programs would be available to me as a search engine for the site and any recommendations?

This page has a lot of search engine classes for use in your PHP script.
You should find one there that your developers can use in your site.
