What is CVS

I´ve been seeing the term CVS quite a lot latelly, but I don´t understand it yet..

Where can I find info about it...

How does it work...

CVS stands for Concurrent Versions System, it is used to aid in a multi developer development environment. All changes are flagged and noted with what what does by whom for what, and so forth. Check out cvshome.org, it should answer most questions you may have.

Many times when people speak of such things they assume GOOGLE is built into our brains (that would be nice!) so doing a simple google search for CVS turns up many many useful sites as well as this category :

Yeap... They also assume that you have the time to read dozens of pages to get a simple answer: "what, in short, is that?"...
