Display of double byte characters

Hi,

 I am finding a problem in viewing

double byte characters in the format as
entered.
The text is being entered in the Text Area
object of a JSP page.
While viewing , I am string tokenizing by
'/n' and viewing.

It works fine in case of single byte
characters. But in case of double
byte charcters the format is altered and
junk charcters come in between text.
