Not sure if this is Apache or php, but here goes...
On my other windoze pc (not connected to the net), I had "localhost" pointing to "I:/home" (or just /home cos everything's on the same drive).
I wanted MyBest50.com to map to /home/natasha/www, so when testing my site the absolute urls work. I tried virtual hosts, and added the following to my Apache conf file...
<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1>
ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost
DocumentRoot /home
ServerName localhost
ErrorLog logs/error.log
CustomLog logs/access.log common
</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1>
ServerAdmin webmaster@mybest50.com
DocumentRoot /home/natasha/www
ServerName mybest50.com
ErrorLog logs/mybest50.com-error.log
CustomLog logs/mybest50.com-access.log common
</VirtualHost>
And fired up Apache. Didn't work... So, I messed about a little, and told internet explorer to use 127.0.0.1 as a proxy (stupid idea, but I needed it to look there for all addresses, rather than looking for an internet connection). It worked! http://www.mybest50.com now servers from /home/natasha/www
HOWEVER...
When I call www.mybest50.com/categories.php, it dies and says it can't open "I:/home/categories.php" !!!
I guess this is cos it's being passed to another program, but I don't know how to fix it.
I hope someone can help!
Thanks in advance,
Danny
