I want to send Newsletters from my site (automatically say every day at 0800 hrs. what should i do with my scripts or what does it require from me at script level on server to execute it automatically ?

U can put up a script in ur index file to chek the time at the server locale and send the newsletter using the "mail" function...However this will work only when someone actually logs into ur site before 0800 hrs :-(

just chek if u can use a java servlet to do this....

this is best done with an entry in crontab and a php script (or shell script) that is run at the specified time.
