Leave application-- HELP

Hi, I to set up a form for employees to apply for leave on the intranet so i need

form that will count the number of days of leave applied based on dates keyed in manually (in a fixed format)
Auto email my boss when someone applies for leave
Keep a database of the number of days of leave each employee has left and a record of the application
Display the records previous days of leave each employee has when they have have successfully applied online

I'm thinking of using cgi-bin perl cum php (to count dates) but that's all i have to start with....
Please help!

What is it that you need help with?

With PHP and a database (MySQL would do fine) meeting your needs would be fairly trivial.

Hi i'm new to the web and i'm only good at creating static web pages... i need to help my boss do an auto email system.

when a user complete filling up a form it will mail to an email add. on what the user has enter..

If you look in the "Code Library" (look at the top of this page!) under "networking" you'll find a class that I've worked with (started about a year ago) that allows you to send e-mails thru any SMTP mail server.

I have an improved version that I've (almost) tested thoroughly that I'm about to release, with some performance tweaks, and imroved error handling.

In order to help any more, I'd need some more details on your situation...

well my situation is like this:
whenever a user comes into a page and they like to download a software brochure(pdf file) they will have to input their
email, maybe their company name and they
it will automatically email this info when they click submit to our email(e.g 123@company.com)
