hello!
i have a problem while sending a mail written in a new font.

my input tag looks like this
<input type="" name="mailme" style="font-face:'Baraha Kan New'">

but when i send the contents of the input box 'mailme' to my mail id using php's mail function i see only junk characters.

is there any method by which i can even send the information about the fonts also to my mail client. or some way to encode the fonts so that the browser / Mail Client will display the message in my fonts. i,e 'Baraha Kan New'

since php gets only the content of the input box and no information on the fonts ....

Only way is to format the entire message as HTML. And then only those who are stupid enough to have their mail client set to ACCEPT html will see your formatting. Also they have to have that font (WHAT was the name again?) on their system.

Also, your <input> tag looks invalid in the first place. Hmmm...

hello peter,

i have a local language mail client.
in whih i am supposed to enter all my messages in the font which i have specified. it is an indian local language.

and i will be sending those mails to only those people who already have that font istaled in their machine.
and most of them have their accounts in yahoo or hotmail etc ....

if i send the same mail using Out look express or Netscape Composer or any other windows mail clients , it is displaying properly in my yahoo account.

but if i send the same content typed in a text box to my yahoo account i am getting some junk characters .. where as the contents in the text box is readable in my local language before submitting.

and if i store all those junk characters in a database and apply my local fonts before displaying in a new page i am getting the perfect result.
