Hi I am new to PHP and mySQL and I am faced with a problem.

I am using phpMyAdmin to edit my mySQL tables, but it says that I need to turn on magic quotes.

So I asked some people how to do this and they told me to use .htaccess with this line ( php_flag magic_quotes_gpc on )

Ok so there is my answer.
NOT really, why? ,because I don't have a cooking clue what they are saying.

Please Help Me, I need to know What Is .htaccess and how to use it to turn on the magic quotes

.htaccess is the name of a file you should create in the dir. you have myadmin. In that file, put the line they told you to.
