Can i do multithreading in php ?

Why do you want it???

Apache is multithreaded. As far as I know, PHP doesn't support multithreading. A possibility is to open multiple browser windows: each requests gets an own thread on Apache.

i want it becoz it takes too much time for a single file .. so i want to display some animation while doing that operations ..

and if possible i want to do some parallel things or 2 processes simultaneously ..
