I'm quite sure this is possible, but that you won't find the answer here, since this site is about PHP. Try asking on a VB or ASP forum.

I've been down this track before and aftre a lot of searching I discovered that it was to put in the "too hard basket".

You can't just send messages to phones...it needs to go through a network and they will no doubt charge you for it.

If you do a search at google for "sms php" you may find somnething that I didn't....but I doubt it.
