I recently got invovled in a fairly large e-business contract that will invlove many elements including user tracking and authenication as well as home page creation for members and your everyday e-commerce stuff. The guy I will be working for wants to create all the pages staticaly, only pulling from a database once a night as is necessary. The nature of the product listings is a no-brainer, or course it's got to be dynamic with sorts and multiple pages, I see no other way. But what about the pages like mysite.com/member1/index.html whould I parse those on the fly or no?
