hi, I have a problem. I am working on a forum, and when a mail is sent to the user after registeration, whatever I type in "From" field, it is concatinated with the server name, e.g. the server name is "www1.pakfree.net" and I type "PakFree Forum" in the "From" field, on receiving that mail in the mail box, the from field is changed from "PakFree Forum" to "PakFree [e-mail]". And when I leave it empty, the "From" field is automatically replaced by "[e-mail]". If I type a full email address in "From" field e.g. "[e-mail]", it is replaced in the mailbox by "[e-mail]@www1.pakfree.net".

I'll be very greatful if anyone can help me in this regard.

What platform are you using? Please post the call to mail() that is in your code.

I don't quite understand how to fix your problem yet, but if you help me to learn the ability to send mail in php, then I can try to help you from there. thanx in advance
