about php_gd_gif.dll

hello all!
My os is winnt4.0p6 and php version is php4.03pl2 .
now I want to use PHP_GD.DLL,so I download the php_gd_gif.dll and copy to "extensions"
and renamed "php_gd.dll" then edit "php.ini"
when I run a script it display error information.
who tell me why ?
