Extract address from Outlook to db

Hi,

Currently I want to do a addressbook which can extract address from my outlook address book and insert to my db. How can I do it?

If you don't want to export/import all the time you might need to set up an access db with a linked (not imported) table to the outlook address book.

Then set up a ODBC connection to the access file, and you should be able to read from the outlook address book as if it were any ODBC database.

I've been trying to find a ODBC driver for outlook, but only MS Office seems to be able to access the data live.

What I want to do is like, the user can upload their outlook address book, and I need a script to records all these information to my MySQL db accordingly to its field via my website.

From what you explain is, I probarly need a ODBC db in order to do so? But in client side, how am I going to check whether the user have this ODBC connection ?

Hi,
I though you had everything locally. To do it remotelly is very different.

If you want the user to synchronize outlook through the net you'll need to develop something like Yahoo's TrueSync. It's a script in outlook (vbscript or VBA) that checks the differences between the DB in the server and in outlook and does the appropriate changes.

So can PHP do the synchronisation between outllok and MySQL db?

But I can't see where is the convertion syntax for this. Can you show me which is the part of doing this conversion?
