Merchant Services and PHP

Hi, I am designing a shopping cart and have ran across a problem, I need it to process credit cards using my merchant service (www.heartlandpaymentsystems.com) - one of their payment gateways is Verisign (also Authorize.net and CyberSource). PHP has Verising Payflow Pro functions, though I do not think the merchant services uses Payflow Pro. There is a article on PHPBuilder on how to use Anacom with PHP, would anyone know how to use Authorize.net with PHP? Or is there a merchant service anyone would recommend?

Authorize.net is a sinch... its just a web form that posts to a SSL connection.
