Ok. From your description I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you are worried about the page being cached at the end-users computer so they don't get the lastest and greatest ? Best way to be sure the browser doesn't cache content is to use the example here:
http://www.php.net/header
header ("Expires: Mon, 26 Jul 1997 05:00:00 GMT"); // Date in the past
header ("Last-Modified: " . gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s") . " GMT"); // always modified
header ("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate"); // HTTP/1.1
header ("Pragma: no-cache"); // HTTP/1.0
This will keep the browser or any proxy in between (generally) from caching your documents.
