not just free: i need DOMAIN hosting

i posted earlier in the day, i am looking for a web host with PHP/MySQL hosting who can provide free top-level DOMAIN hosting(not sub-domain or sub-directory). all the links i got earlier today on this forum are no help.
please help.

I disagree, the links provided DO help. Mainly this one :

Two listed there will allow for your own domain, here's a direct quote :

"http://www.portland.co.uk/ (allows your own domain name)"

Granted no database is available there but another link exists in the above that could help, which is :

"Here's a host that offers a free database : http://www.freesql.org/"

That combo should meet your unfortunate needs (I say unfortunate as you're asking for a lot). Also, if you're doing an open source project, sourceforge.net is a possability.

I doubt you'll find anything other then the above.

Portland do offer MySQL. They don't seem to publicise it too much but it is available on demand. There aren't any ads but site size or bandwidth limits might be a factor.

Also there was an offer from datablocks.net to host your domain if you stick an ad on your page (although site size and bandwidth limits aren't mentioned for this) was made in these forums - a quick search should bring up the relevant details.
