i've run a game server on my win98 box for quite some time now with php and mysql.
recently though, the box has completely pooped and i can't start up mysqld because i get a socket error... BUT i also can't start up apache or even connect to the internet much less. i've removed network and modems, reinstalled TCP/IP, reinstalled windows, all to no avail.
does anything pop out to anyone? any help would be great.
