hello

I want to create domains and Domain alias.
Is there any interface or resource provided
in php to do so.
I have some idea of related files as named.conf , mydomain.hosts , 192.168.0.rev

Some possiblities:
1. Editing configuration files using file system objects.But is systemic.
2. calling any service of linux to do so via
system function.
Not sure about these solutions.

Can any body help me out.

I have posted some time ago a (i think) related question. Do you need a sort of webhost-administrator tool? like Plesk? (www.plesk.com) to manage domains for customers and easy add and delete domains, e-mails, etc...etc..

Well, i dont have the solution for you but nobody had one for me too (i asked for any plesk-alike free software, cause it costs a lot). maybe it's time some guys like you and me work together and create a free to use system in PHP...

I appriciate your idea for building such a solution. As it is very important issue.

First of point is that, I think right now there is no native APIs of php that help to solve this issue.So file manipulation
of BIND is required directly.
In fact my need is not a application but APIs that perform the manipulation of BIND , so that it integrate with my solution.

I am ready to take that task with you.

So you're trying to make a sort af library with the necsesary routines in it, so it can be called in PHP for easy domain maintanance. Do i understand that correct?

I personnally have no expierience with BIND , but am willing to learn. It is indeed nescesary that some persons unite and create such a thing.

Yes, You are right.I think we need to build
modules complied in c. So that they may be load with standard php libraries in apache.
I am also not very expert in BIND,but i think we can to it.
