PHP on a CD-ROM

A client has asked me to have his e-commerce website (mySQL, Apache and PHP) on a CD-ROM, he wants to deliver this CD to customers that do not have net conection, they would insert the CD-ROM on their PCs and have a ready to go e-commerce site.

Is this possible or should I use Flash & Javascript instead?

Hi!

as far as i know, you cannot burn running servers on a cd, so as i see it, either your clients need to install a php and mysql server on their pc, or you need to use one of those scripts who'll convert php sites to html (findable on www.hotscripts.com) , but then you have no interactivity...

i hope someone has a better solution for you...

After lookin around a bit it seems another kind of solution exists :

it converts your php scripts to windows executables so you can burn them on a cdrom.

I haven't tested it myself, but if it works, please tell us!

I also need a PHP supported SQL database. No good ideas yet. How about you. Let me know if you find anything. I am going to try mySQL and mSQL.
