creating the link

This is the link I have right now

A HREF=page3.php?playername=$name>$name

The problem I am see is that because their is a space in the name, I am only getting the first name in the link but I get the full name for the link description.

Is there anyway I can make it see the full value of the field instead of stopping at the space?

just figured it out, I just kept playing around with different ideas.

I had to change alot of my code but the biggest thing I think was using echo instead of print.

i agree with rich. all you had to do is urlencode the string.
