Session timeout -> lost form request

I have a Content Management system that requires login.

When filling out a form (adding an article) the users often loose their session (timeout) because they stay on the same page to long.

Then they have to login again when they submit the form. But all the info they typed in the form is then lost.

Does anyone have a good solution for how to "save" this info. I want to send them to the login-page, but when they login I want their form-data to be executed...

Why don't you just increase the session_timeout value so the session doesn't timeout while they fill the form?

Because some of the users are in a office that uses a ISDN router that disconnects on 3-5 minutes of inactivity. And I have no control of this.

So I NEED to store the form-data while I send them to the login-page.

Ehm...but session data is stored on the client side, either in a cookie or the URL, so you can physically disconnect from the server as much as you want, the next request will continue with the same session.

Session timeout and connection timeout are two different things.

Were you able to come up with a solution for this? I am having the same problem.
