do i need one secure page to enter the data and another to process the data? or is it safe to have the info entered on a non-secure page and sent to a secure page?
non-secure pages are non-secure, so you should never send login-data through non-secure pages.
First link to a secure page, that will setup a secure link. Then use the secure page to logon.
