Is php faster than all other server side technlogies?

a C program will probably outdo a php script most days... but you were probably thinking about ASP and perl and python, etc. Generally, yes, but sometimes no.

I couldn't find the exact link, but eWeek's recent review demonstrated that PHP's performance (47 pages a second) blows away JSP pages (13 pgs/sec); whacks Cold Fusion (29 pgs/sec); and edges ASP (43 pgs/sec).
