Hi,
I've been using html kit but it doesn't do a very good job of catching the stupid errors I typically make in PHP. I do a lot of database and sessions work.
Is there a good PHP development environement, similar to Interdev for ASP?
I use VI
you get a shiny, gold star for being a l33t h4x0r.
vi is obviously not what he's looking for.
i use emacs.
just give some different ones a try. it's all about what fits you best.
I would use vim with php color coding actually
Also try home site
if you are developing in Windows you can use PHP Coder... www.phpcoder.com
For Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, I like BBEdit (although there is still a most annoying save window bug on Mac OS X; they blame it on Apple even though it does seem to not happen under all applications) and Pepper.

For Windows, I like EditPlus.

I don\'t see anything on www.phpcoder.com, just says Welcome to phpcoder.com
I second that. I've been using EditPlus for Windows for years. Easy to use, and highly customizable if you choose to tinker with it. It's a good notepad replacement, using intelligent coloring, templates, helpers etc.
