2 php.ini on same server ???????

Hi,

I'm in a project where I need to access all variables using $HTTPVARS[""]. On my workstations, I need to set register_globals to off in order to access those $HTTPvars. If register_globals is on, for some reasons, php can't see the $HTTP*_vars. (track_vars is always on in php4 i think).<p>

My questions is, I have older programs that doesnt use $HTTP*vars, and I also use phpmyadmin for sql access. Those programs won't work if register_globals is off.<p>

Any suggestions????

you can use .htaccess like file for specifying php settings:

i'm not completely sure but i think it was something like:

php_settings name value

php_value name value
This sets the value of the specified variable.

php_flag name on|off
This is used to set a Boolean configuration option.

php_admin_value name value
This sets the value of the specified variable. "Admin" configuration settings can only be set from within the main Apache configuration files, and not from .htaccess files.

Well, I just played with php 4.0.5 with register_globals on. It seems like track_vars is working on $HTTP_GET_VARS and $HTTP_POST_VARS. Others I'm not sure. The one that defenetely doesn't work for me is $HTTP_SESSION_VARS. Seems like I can't access $HTTP_SESSION_VARS with register_globals on.

Anyway thanks for your info. I'll try doing that right now.
