posting data to *.asp pages

hello!
how do i <B>post</B> data to .asp page (https address) and then download the page it produces with php code (cgi)?
let's say i have an url i want to download https://www.page-i-want.com/something.asp which needs data1 and data2 variables (post method). how do i post them from php and get back the result; without submiting it from form but from compiled php code (from exe file)?

Using fsockopen, you can open a socket to port 80 of the remote server. If you send the right headers, it'll post data and you use fgets to read back what the server sends.

Someone clever posted a function called BuildPostHeader not so long ago, search for it and it should do what you want (lets you send cookies too!)

How safe in what way?

The script basically does exactly what your browser does if you filled in a form that had a POST method and to the asp page you're requesting.

It's just like firing up a browser on your webserver, and filling in a form.
