problems with Fast Template

I'm trying to get fast template running, but, when I run it, I get this errors:
Warning: Invalid content of {} in /var/www/bv/php/class/FastTemplate.php on line 201
Warning: Invalid content of {} in /var/www/bv/php/class/FastTemplate.php on line 215
Is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong.
My software is:
php-4.0.4pl1-6mdk
apache-1.3.19-3mdk

if you haven't: yes, it's a bug, but a minor one.
