I am experiencing problems with CPU usage on my server. Anyone know what can cause high CPU usage. I do alot of file, get_meta_tag functions along with image analysis and includes, requires. The administrator of my server said typical CPU "load average" should be around 1 mine is at around currently around 13 and had some down time yesterday due to high spikes in CPU usage causing the server to need to be rebooted.
Image analysis sounds suspicious.
Your admin should be able to tell you what the top process, executable etc are for a test period of heavy use.
That should narrow the search a bit.
