Can any one explain MIME Emails

Can any body explain a MIME email?

I am trying to send out a news letter and put some html and some images in the email. Some one suggested that i have to declair a MIME email or some thing like that but i am not sure what that is.

Can any one explain that to me?

I am new to PHP..

Any help would be great.

hey... i had a lot of trouble with this as well. have you checked out the articles about this subject? they were pretty helpful. i also found a really good class at http://www.heyes-computing.net/. to get my desired effect, i think i changed the main mimetype from multipart/related to multipart/alternative. i did this so that the user would get an html message with graphics embedded if they could see it, and a text message with graphics attached if they could net get html email. hope this helps.
