ErrorDocument/htaccess

Does anyone know how to properly use the ErrorDocument directive in you .htaccess file under the Windows98 platform?

I tried:

ErrorDocument 401 c:\path\rejection.html

among other combinations.

But it always directs me to the general "Authorization Required" page.

Has anyone gotten this to work?

I'm not sure about Windows redirection, but you may want to try double-slashes, like PHP does:

ErrorDocument 401 C:\path\rejection.html

i know that in Apache on UNIX you have to use the following directive the <directory> configuration (in httpd.conf) where the .htaccess file is contained:

AllowOverride FileInfo

this will make the .htaccess file accessible to Apache.

Another option for getting the ErrorDocument right is to set it in the server configuration in the Apache Config (httpd.conf).
